Do you ever read things in the Bible and think you know what it means. This morning, I read about abiding. I thought I knew what it meant to abide; however, when I look up the word “abide,” I found it meant to “accept or act in accordance with (a rule, decision, or recommendation)” So when God’s word says we are to abide in His love, we are to accept it and act in accordance with the FACT that He is Love and He Loves us.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John wrote,”And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16 (NKJV)
Today, accept and act in accordance with the Fact that God is love and He loves you.
