Foundation

The most important part of any building is the foundation. Jesus talked about the man who built upon sand, and when the rains came, the house fell and great was that fall; however, he also talked about the person who built upon the rock.  The floods came and the house stood strong.  Jesus is our rock and the foundation upon which our eternal and present life is built.  When we build upon Jesus, we allow Him to be the Lord of our lives.  Sometimes, life gets crazy, or busy and we fail to allow Jesus to live through us.  It is never too late to return to the one who sustains us.   

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:9-11 (KJV)  

Today, turn to Jesus repent and recommit your life to allow Him be the Lord of your life.  If you have never received Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life, ask Him to come into your heart, forgive you of your sins and receive His new life.
