Local Church Needs Help With Disaster Relief Efforts
Hurricane Laura roared through Southwestern Louisiana early Thursday morning, leaving a wide path of destruction on both sides of the Texas/Louisiana border. Our area has always been quick to respond in any way possible to disasters like this. So we are calling on the community of League City and surrounding towns to partner with our church as we collect needed supplies.
Lighthouse Fellowship of Friends, 925 3rd Street, League City will be collecting and taking supplies to the Orange, Texas area this coming week. We will be accepting donations Sunday 6, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 PM. Watch this post for updated donation times as they become available. We are still developing our supply line to the region.
Donations accepted will include:
Non-perishable food, like canned foods, and granola bars. Remember, food items that don’t require refrigeration.
Bottled water
personal hygiene items
trash bags and cleaning supplies
PLEASE NO CLOTHING OR HOUSEHOLD ITEMS.
Those who would like to help with a financial donation can do so at this time, with all of proceeds going to this cause. No donation is too small or too large.
