Chosen

What do people say about you?  Are you concerned?  Do you believe it?  In the long run, what people say about you will not affect you for eternity, unless you let it prevent you from making the most important decision of your life – accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  However, what God says and thinks about you will affect you now and for all eternity.  He says you are the apple of His eye, you are chosen and a royal priesthood – His special possession.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Peter wrote, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”  1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
