Prayer of Faith
Prayer of Faith
When a man brought his son to Jesus for healing, Jesus asked him if he believed He could heal his son. The man was honest when he said, “Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.” How many of us would admit that when we pray, we experience unbelief? Why then do we ask if we don’t believe? We ask in hope. Jesus wants us to ask in faith. It has been my belief that our God does not want us to reason things out, because carnal reasoning tends to cause us to get bogged down in unbelief.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, James wrote, “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:14-15 (KJV)
Today, stop reasoning things out. Ask in faith and ask God to help any unbelief you may have.
Be Blessed and Be a Blessing
